More new foods.

Yesterday I felt the need to make some blueberry scones.

Mediocre Scones

They taste okay, but they don’t look so hot. I would probably not use this recipe again.

I figured out at least one way to make it look more interesting.

For dinner, I made the butternut squash from PPK. It did not disappoint. I have the feeling I will eat this 2-3 more times this week. It was really easy (assuming you have decent knives to cut through the squash), and very very very delicious.

Definitely worth making.

I’m off to go try a (new) frozen yogurt place (Thanks Janet!), so I think I can say my week’s challenge of getting out of my food rut was a success.

I am definitely going to have to try to make (or make Mike make) that butternut squash. It looks amazing! And we definitely need more easy, healthy recipes in our house.
